Ibissa Azcona is originally from Brownsville, Texas. She began her accounting career in high school at 16 through a co-op program working for Texas Ledger Corporation. There, she worked on bookkeeping and financial reporting for more than 30 small businesses. This laid the foundation for her career in financial reporting, accounting systems, and business operations.

She later attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and went on to complete a Master of Science in Accounting from Our Lady of the Lake University.

Over the course of her career, Ibissa has worked across accounting, financial reporting, and financial systems roles with organizations including Whataburger and USAA. Her experience includes financial reporting, payroll and benefits accounting, systems implementations, and executive financial analysis. She also has extensive experience configuring and supporting financial systems ranging from QuickBooks for small businesses to large enterprise ERP platforms.
